Coming here and knowing nothing about Playa del Carmen, we were so thankful to meet Matthew Hoy. With his exceptional service, he toured us around the city in his very fancy golf cart and introduced us to different restaurants with authentic Mexican flavors and culture. He made us feel comfortable and welcomed even though we were complete strangers to the place. Jenni Black was our real estate agent for the purchase of our new condo in Playa del		 Carmen.  When we started our search, we thought we wanted to buy a house.  Once we started our home tour, we realized we wanted to be on the water and near 5th Avenue.   We were here for just 3 days and completely changed the direction of our home search. Jenni never flinched.  She just started making calls trying to find places within our criteria that we could see that day or the next.   She came up with some great options for the rest of that day and more for the next day.  The property we actually purchased was not an active listing, but one she was able to find through her extensive contacts.  By the end of our last day, an offer was in place we were our way back to Canada. Purchasing a home in Mexico is very different from buying in Canada and she patiently walked us through the purchase process, suggesting a strategy that would work in this market.  Throughout the entire process, she was professional and prepared.  Once the offer was accepted she was always available to answer questions and attend to details. Now that we own our condo, Jenni has gone out of her way to introduce us to our new home town.  She is quick to respond with recommendations of where to shop and dine or to give me the name of a great place for a manicure.   She did not hesitate to steer us clear of businesses that may not work with our best interests at heart.  She has continued to encourage us to ‘reach out anytime’ for advice. My wife and I were staying at a resort south of Playa Del Carmen for our honeymoon in 2016, and met with Sarah Cox for the first time.  We had set up a day to look at local real estate for a day to educate ourselves about the real estate market in the surrounding areas.  Sarah was so nice when we met her.  She showed us properties in Aukamal, Playa Del Carmen and finally, Tulum.   Sarah saved the best for last.  We had the first of many lunches at Don Cafeto’s and then proceeded to the beach strip of Tulum.  As we approached the beach strip, standing on the right hand side of the street was a donkey.  My wife and I looked at each other and decided that Tulum is where we need to be one day!  Its been 10 years now,  and Sarah has been amazingly gracious offering to spend time with us during each one of our Air Bnb stays.  Each time, we reassured her that we were wasting her time.  We were going to buy one day!  Well, just about 12 days ago, we finally purchased a building lot in a Development off 5th Avenue, Tulum.  This was a development that Sarah had shown us just a mere 12 months ago—we couldn’t stop thinking about it.  We are still in the final stages of the ownership process, and with Sarah’s help, the process has been virtually seamless so far.  We wanted you to know how wonderfully patient and kind Sarah has been with us for 10 years.  We may hold the record for the people who took the longest time to make a final decision! Lol.  Although our process isn’t quite complete, we expect the last few steps to be as smooth as the first few. Yes, we will still need to build our Casa, but we have taken the first step towards making our dream come true.  We can’t wait to become part of the Tulum community for at least 6 months of the year.  Again, we truly appreciate what Sarah has done for us and the guidance she has provided us.
